How Do I Become a Member of Mosaic?
Mosaic Choir and Orchestra’s membership comes from northwest Washington area residents and churches. Our requirements for membership are simple: work with us. Come to the rehearsals, learn the music, travel to the concerts, become a part of us. There are no auditions.
Mosaic rehearses on Monday nights from 7-9pm, September through May, at Westgate Chapel (22901 Edmonds Way, Edmonds, WA). September, October and November are spent preparing for three Christmas concerts – two of them on the first Saturday of December at the Edmonds Center for the Arts and one the second Sunday night of December at a local church. In January the group prepares for spring concerts held in February – May.
All music is memorized by the choir. There are rehearsal CD’s provided, online music available on this web site, and sectional rehearsals. With the goal of creating the best blended sound possible, the members of Mosaic, as much as possible, stand in quartets (SATB) during rehearsals and concerts, rather than typical choral sections.
