Who Are Mosaic Singers & Instrumentalists?

Mosaic singers and instrumentalists love to worship through music. If this is you, then you are a member of Mosaic. We’re a faith-based group that performs participatory concerts. Our repertoire includes gospel, classical, Americana, a cappella, and patriotic music.

Our members come from all walks of life, and 25 local churches across 10 denominations.

We invite you to contact us if you have any questions.

FAQs

What kind of musical background do you need to join Mosaic?

None! There are no tryouts. After an interview you are welcome to sing and perform with us. There are tryouts for instrumentalists. The only requirement is that you learn the music. Our choir does not perform with sheet music.

How are choir parts determined?

Unlike traditional choirs which are arranged by parts (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass), the Mosaic Choir performs in quartets. Each quartet is made up of a soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. If we have an unequal number of individuals, the ‘quartets’ may swell in numbers, but you would still sing within your assigned group.

How much does it cost to join the Mosaic ensemble?

Joining the choir and orchestra is completely free. We have a suggested donation of $25 for a single and $30 for a couple, but all donations are processed privately. Allan Skoog, the conductor, has no knowledge of who has and who has not donated.
